1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Runlab mobile application and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Runlab.

2. Description of Service

Runlab is an AI-powered running coaching platform that provides personalized training insights, performance analytics, and structured training plans. Runlab integrates with third-party services including Strava and Apple Health to deliver a comprehensive training experience.

3. User Accounts

To use Runlab, you must create an account. By creating an account, you agree to the following:

  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use Runlab, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time. To delete your account:

  • Navigate to Profile → Delete Account within the app.
  • You must type "delete my account" exactly to confirm the deletion.
  • Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
  • Upon deletion, all of your data is permanently removed, including: activities, health snapshots, coaching history, training plans, and your athlete profile.

This process ensures complete removal of your data from our systems.

5. Apple Health Data

Runlab integrates with Apple HealthKit to provide personalized coaching insights. Our use of HealthKit data is subject to the following policies:

  • Runlab accesses HealthKit data in read-only mode.
  • Health data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
  • Health data is never sold to data brokers or third parties.
  • Health data is never stored in iCloud.
  • You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through your iOS Settings.
  • Data types accessed include: HRV, Resting Heart Rate, Sleep Analysis, VO2 Max, Body Mass, and Active Energy Burned.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Runlab service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application.
  • Using the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the service.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the service or its related systems.
  • Transmitting any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data through the service.

7. Intellectual Property

Runlab and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Runlab App Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes the app design, branding, logos, and all proprietary content.

You retain all rights to your own data, including your training data, activities, and personal information. We do not claim ownership of any user-generated content.

8. Subscription and Payments

Runlab offers a free tier and a premium subscription, Runlab Elite:

  • Runlab Elite Monthly: $4.99/month
  • Runlab Elite Annual: $44.99/year

All subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Payment is processed by Apple and is subject to Apple's terms and conditions. For refund requests, please refer to Apple's refund policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Runlab App Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Training advice, coaching insights, and performance analytics provided by Runlab are informational in nature and do not constitute medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting or modifying any training program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the service or other users.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the in-app account deletion process described in Section 4.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Runlab after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
